Refurbishment for Reuse
We believe that the best form of recycling is reuse wherever possible. We will therefore test all equipment with the aim of reusing as much as possible. All redundant equipment collected by Repc is reused, refurbished or recycled.
We first erase and securely destroy all data, electrically PAT test and then refurbish the equipment so that it can be reused.
Once the equipment has gone through our processing stage and all data has been wiped we can then refurbish the equipment to support local residents, charities and community groups.
Donating IT equipment for reuse is an ideal opportunity to fulfil your organisations Corporate Social Responsibility objectives. Photos and testimonies can be provided for newsletters or press releases if required.
One of our social goals is to reduce the digital divide. We do this by working in partnership with organisations such as Raceonline 2012. Through Repc’s registered UK Online Centre, we provide free computer training and access to affordable PCs. We also refurbish equipment to support charities and our many community programmes that provide education, training and personal development for disadvantaged young people.
We sell many of our refurbished items through our online shop. As a not-for-profit company all of the profits we make go straight back into the company to provide education and employment opportunities for local people.
